Crú Wine Bar: Go for the wine, stay for the tapas

Flight 6: Royal Riesling

Crú has several locations in the US with 4 of them being located in the DFW Metroplex. I visited the West Village location on a busy Saturday afternoon with a few of my Dallas Black Bloggers babes.

If you know anything anything about me, then you know I’m very indecisive. Lucky for me Crú has wine flights, which let me have several choices. I chose the Royal Riesling flight. I really enjoyed 2 out of the three. The bone dry Riesling was not my favorite but it wasn’t the worst.

Since there were several of us, we decided to try lots of different items. Now I will say the service was not as quick or attentive as I would have liked, but I would still go back.

Now to start the presentation of all the plates was immaculate. A few of the dishes did come out Luke warm but that was probably because they waited to serve everything at once. I personally ordered the Fritto Misto and it was prepared amazingly. The breading and the seasoning were both on point.

The must have appetizer, and the star of the show was the goat cheese beignet. These like tempura battered goat cheese served drizzled with honey and cracked pepper. When I say chef’s kiss, I mean chef’s kiss. These alone will have me coming back again and again.

So all in all, if you are a fan of wine; I’d add Crù Wine Bar to your list. Also check your local airports because they do several airport locations as well.
